Silver Tiger

15.3hh Tb.  He has raced on the flat and was bought out of training in Newmarket in October 2011.  He had previously been sold as a yearling for 37,000 guineas.  We have recently started training him for polo and he is proving to be very athletic, easy going for a stallion with a super light mouth and endless stamina!  Hopefully we will take him to polo this summer.

His sire Tiger Hill won 10 of his 17 races including three group 1 races and several group 2 and listed races at 2, 3 and 4 years of age from 7f to 1¾ miles and  £749,000.  Tiger Hill was the champion 3yo and best older horse in Germany.   Silver Tiger's dam won twice and placed five times and his maternal grand sire Rainbow Quest was a top racehorse and the joint top rated older horse in Europe with wins including the Gr.1 Coronation Cup and the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe at four.  Rainbow Quest has been a prolific sire including a son, two grandsons and a great grandson all winning the Epsom Derby.

With this pedigree of speed and stamina and his lovely nature Silver Tiger should make an excellent sire for both show and sports horses and would be suitable to cross with a variety of breeds.  He can be seen at Dykehead, Aboyne.  For all enquiries speak to Jim Dukes.

We have facilities to stand stallions at the practice for fresh and chilled AI.  We have 2 booked in for 2013, Silver Tiger a 15.2 TB and Igguldon Skye Laird (Sausage) a 16.1 TB X ID.  All enquiries please contact Jim.

Igguldon Skye Laird

Igguldon Skye Laird(Sausage) is a 16.1HH grey 12yr old mainly TB/ID with a tiny bit of Hannoverian and Welsh. Graded with the S.S.H. he is currently winning at medium level dressage and has qualified for the Elementary regionals, he has also placed novice eventing. He is by Jumbo the worlds No 1 living event sire who produced last years Burghley winner Avebury, he also sired Headley Britannia who won Badminton, Burghley, Kentucky and was a member of the Australian Olypic silver medal event team in 2008, there are many more along with Grade A SJ and advanced dressage horses. Sausage has 3 fabulous paces, great feet and a temperament second to none. A kind and willing horse he is very easy to do. His 2nd foal was a winner at the Highland Show as a yearling. Oldest offspring will be coming out under saddle this year. He previously stood at Balcormo, he is very fertile and his semen travels and freezes well. He was good at getting difficult mares in foal.
